Boys' basketball scores and summaries from games involving Cedar Rapids and Iowa City metro teams Tuesday night.
4A No. 9 Cedar Rapids Kennedy 70, Waterloo East 68 (OT)
The Cougars had a tough task at home, needed overtime to best the Trojans.
Matt Berst led the way for Kennedy with 17 points. Drake Brewster had 14 points.
Derick Diggins had 10 points for the Cougars, but there was none bigger than the game-winning tip-in at the overtime buzzer.
Cedar Rapids Xavier 71, Dubuque Wahlert 52
Matthew Mims scored 16 points and had nine assists as the Saints (10-10) beat the Golden Eagles at home. Max Techau scored 13 points and led Xavier with eight rebounds.
Craig Collins and Austin Savary each scored 14 points to lead Wahlert (5-14).
Linn-Mar 68, Iowa City High 54
The Lions were down two at halftime, but were able to mount 40 points in the second half to defeat the Little Hawks by 14 points in Iowa City.
Trey Hutcheson led the Lions in both points and rebounds with 17 points and 11 boards. Jacob Robertson added 11 points in the win.
Antonio Turner led all scorers with 20 points, hitting five triples for City High.
4A No. 4 Dubuque Senior 59, Cedar Rapids Washington 40
At Washington, Senior led at the half, 21-20, but came out firing in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors by 18 points.
Washington had two scorers in double figures — Mick McCurry put up 12 points and Nolan Potter scored 11 points.
Carter Stevens was the team leader with 11 points for the Rams.
Cedar Rapids Prairie 92, Waterloo West 76
The Hawks had five players score in double figures to pave the way to victory over the Wahawks at Prairie.
Max Smith Drahos scored 21 points for Prairie and Cardonis Harris-Anderson led Waterloo West with 23 points.
Marion 61, Clear Creek-Amana 53
Marion had four players score double-digits as the Indians won their regular-season finale at home.
Baylor Fish, Chase Zielke and Trevor Paulsen each scored 12 points while Mitch Wiese finished with 10 points for Marion (12-9).
Tate Thomsen led all players with 13 points while Corey Siders scored 11 points and Tyler Hallett had 10 points on the night for the Clippers (2-19).
