Prairie’s Rylee Blood, West’s Patrick Wood win state titles
DES MOINES - Cedar Rapids Prairie senior Rylee Blood and Iowa City West junior Patrick Wood won Class 3A state bowling titles Wednesday at Plaza Lanes.
Blood rolled games of 246 and 224 for a 470 total, 11 pins better than runner-up Christian Swank of Muscatine.
Wood shot games of 243 and 248 to top Drew Hicks of Johnston by six pins, 491-485.
Prairie finished second in the girls' team standings, rolling a 2910. Johnston won at 3171. Cedar Falls (3230) won the boys' title.
