Prairie, Linn-Mar split pair of one-run softball games

CEDAR RAPIDS – Linn-Mar and Cedar Rapids Prairie split a thrilling doubleheader at Prairie on Thursday night.
The Lions took the first game 5-4 before the Hawks rallied for a 3-2 win in the nightcap.
Ellison Ollinger went two-for-three with a triple as the Lions took game one. Maddy Ryan picked up her 10th win of the season on the mound. Gabi Carter led the Hawks with two RBIs.
Taylor Moenk went two-for-three with an RBI as the Hawks took game two. Natalie Halverson was the winning pitcher. Michaela Smith led the Lions with two singles.
Linn-Mar is now 12-5 while Prairie moves to 14-7.
