Ollinger’s shot lifts Lions past Tigers: Girls BB Roundup

Amanda Ollinger converted a 3-point play with less than a second remaining to lead Class 5A fifth-ranked Linn-Mar past No. 6 Cedar Falls, 54-51, in Cedar Falls.
Ollinger pulled down an offensive rebound off a missed 3-pointer and was fouled on the ensuing put back with just 0.3 seconds left in the game.
Kamryn Finley led the Lion (8-1) offense with 17 points.
Jamie Becker scored 12 points for No. 6 Cedar Falls (9-2), while Adrienne Boettger added 10.
C.R. KENNEDY 63, DUBUQUE WAHLERT 53 - Lela Sellers and Stephanie Botkin led host Kennedy with 17 points apiece. Hailey Dolphin tossed in 11 points for the Cougars. Charlotte Flynn led Wahlert with 18 points.
C.R. XAVIER 58, WATERLOO WEST 14 - Lizzy Bailey led all scorers with 17 points as the 11th-ranked (4A) Saints (7-3, 5-2 MVC) won big at home. Morgan Breitbach had 13 points and four steals while Erin Drahozal finished with 10 points and four steals.
Aliyah Robinson led the Wahawks (2-9, 0-7 MVC) with six points.
MARION 41, WILLIAMSBURG 17 - Chloe Rice had 11 points and Caitlyn Rice added nine points to lead Marion at Williamsburg. Rice and Smith each had three 3-pointers.
IOWA CITY REGINA 55, WEST BRANCH 36 - Mary Crompton had four 3-pointers and led No. 6 (2A) Regina with 17 points in Iowa City. Cammy Verducci added 10 points with three 3-pointers. Regina led 28-15 at halftime.
DUBUQUE HEMPSTEAD 54, C.R. WASHINGTON 43 - Jessica Brown made five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 24 points for host Dubuque Hempstead.
Gabrielle Riley added 10 points for the Mustangs (6-1), who held a 29-9 advantage in free throw attempts.
Allie Semrau scored 12 points for Washington (2-5) and Kandis O'Donnell chipped in 10.
C.R. PRAIRIE 68, WATERLOO EAST 17 - Halle Person scored 20 points to lead the Hawks (1-9, 1-5 MVC) to their first win of the season in Waterloo. Elle Herold had 10 points, Emilie Rotter recorded eight points, and Lynsey Altenhofen ended the night with six points and six steals.
Tahleigha Watson scored eight points for the Trojans (0-11, 0-6 MVC).
MIDLAND 65, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 40 - Morgan Petersen scored 19 points and Kayla Bisinger added 14 for Midland (7-3) in Wyoming.
Shelby Hembera finished with a 28-point, 12-rebound double-double for Cedar Valley Christian (6-3).
DUBUQUE SENIOR 55, C.R. JEFFERSON 45 - Emma Noel led all scorers with 20 points as the Rams (6-3, 5-2 MVC) won in Cedar Rapids. Makenzie Williams added 16 points for Dubuque Senior.
Kylie Wise led the J-Hawks (5-5, 4-3 MVC) with 14 points.
