MOSER PLACES SECOND AT STATE
Moser School of Dance and Gymnastics earned placed second overall among Iowa's top tumbling teams at the Iowa State USTA Championships recently.
'Congratulations to all our athletes who worked hard, stayed focused, set goals and did the work needed to meet those goals,” Debbie Moser said in a release.
Coaches are Debbie Moser of Dyersville, Carmen Moser Payne of Edgewood, and Bernita Moser and Kattie Payne Schulte of Strawberry Point.
SWISHER'S JOHNSTON WINS QUALIFIER
MARSHALLTOWN - Ian Johnston of Swisher earned a berth in the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships to be held in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., July 21-26 by winning a qualifier recently.
Johnston, 14, shot a 73 in the 14-15 division at Elmwood Country Club in Marshalltown and then won a playoff for the berth. He will be freshman at Cedar Rapids Prairie this fall.
