Reported prep basketball scores and summaries for games involving Cedar Rapids and Iowa City metro teams Friday night.
GIRLS
Cedar Rapids Xavier 63, Waterloo West 54
McKenna Andersen drilled six 3-pointers en route to a game-high 26 points to lead Xavier to a 63-54 win at Waterloo West.
Andersen also pulled down nine rebounds, while Lexi Noonan chipped in with 13 points for the Saints (6-5).
Aliyah Robinson led the way for Waterloo West (4-7) with 18 points.
Cedar Rapids Prairie 78, Waterloo East 37
Halle Person scored 20 points to lead a balanced Prairie attack in an MVC matchup at home.
Olivia Usher scored 14 points for the Prairie Hawks (5-5), while Sarah Schmitt and Maggie Lampe added 12 and 10, respectively.
Kerris Roberts had 16 points for Waterloo East (1-11).
Cedar Rapids Washington 67, Dubuque Hempstead 56
C.R. Washington rolled behind 16 points from Jayla Johnson and 13 from Payton Bruner at home.
Holly Bitter for Hempstead was 6-of-6 from the line for 14 points.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson 68, Dubuque Senior 51
Kennedy Dighton scored 17 points while Samantha Ketterman added 10 points to lead Jefferson to the win at Dubuque.
Kylie Wise added three 3-pointers for nine points for the J-Hawks.
Iowa City Regina 41, Bellevue 30
Sarah Lehman scored 12 points and Mary Crompton added seven for Class 2A second-ranked Regina (9-0) at home.
Emma Kelchen paced the Bellevue (3-7) offense with nine points.
Midland 45, Cedar Valley Christian 43
Rylee Andreson scored a team-high 15 points, as Midland (4-7) overcame a 23-15 halftime deficit to win in Wyoming.
Candace Wilson just missed a triple-double for Cedar Valley Christian (3-7), finishing with 18 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists. Molly Hembera added 13 points for the Huskies.
BOYS
Dubuque Senior 48, Cedar Rapids Jefferson 47
Nick Timmerman made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points to lead Dubuque Senior to the win at Jefferson.
Dennis McKinney scored 11 points while James Brown Jr. added 10 points for the J-Hawks.
Vinton-Shellsburg 46, Marion 43
Sean Noeller hit a last-second 3-pointer to deliver the win in Vinton.
Tyler Stueck led V-S (8-3) with 14 points.
Noah Walter scored 10 points, while Baylor Fish and Jacob Manderscheid each added nine points for the Indians
Cedar Rapids Washington 62, Dubuque Hempstead 61
Hunter Strait had 17 points and Laveechie Williams add 14 for the Warriors.
Hempstead was led by Connor Daux with 19.
