Marion leads way with 3 players, Coach of the Year in All-Metro baseball

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Marion Indians set a school record for most victories in a season, and were honored as such on the All-Metro baseball team.
Steve Fish was named All-Metro Coach of the Year, it was announced Friday. Named to the All-Metro first team are Marion players Maverick Miller, Baylor Fish and Parker Ridge.
Cedar Rapids Prairie also had three players selected to the first team in Levi Usher, Harrison Cook and Casey Day. Cedar Rapids Washington, Cedar Rapids Xavier and Cedar Rapids Jefferson placed two each. For Washington, it was Brady Bunten and Drew Dostal, for Xavier, it was Gabe Lux and Bryce Schulte and for Jefferson, it was Brayden Frazier and Connor Van Scoyoc.
Linn-Mar's Reese Phillips and Cedar Rapids Kennedy's Matt Berst also are first-teamers.
