Local gymnasts shine in Waterloo

CRAG TRIO ARE TRIPLE WINNERS
WATERLOO - Alivia Foster, Kori Lyle and Emersyn Secora of the Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics each won three events in Xcel Gold at the Candyland Classic.
All three won the beam, floor exercise and all-around.
Macie Forck won the bars and floor in Xcel Gold. Other CRAG winners were Lindsay Ginger (beam), Chole Pate (bars) and Olivia Lukan (bars) in Xcel Silver, and Lauren Short (bars) and Gracie Drury (bars) in Xcel Gold.
Placewinners were Lauren Miller in Silver and Brooke Glasbrenner, Maggie Schlamp and Jordyn Erickson in Gold.
At the Circle of Stars meet a week earlier, CRAG's Maya Deuso tied for first in the balance beam and placed in two other Level 8 events. Other CRAG placewinners were Riley Smith in Level 7, Kyleigh Garcia and Carly Mark in Level 8 and Kareena McSweeney in Level 9.
SOMERSAULTS' ROGERS WINS 3 TITLES
WATERLOO - Raivyn Rogers of Somersaults Gymnastics Center won three titles at the Candyland Classic.
Rogers won the balance beam, floor exercise and all around in Xcel Silver.
Other Somersaults winners were Alyssa Jarchow (floor) in Xcel Bronze; Bailey Hakert (vault), Faye Wade (beam), Addilyn Wade (floor) and Natalie Osterberg (floor) in Xcel Silver.
Placewinners were Carly Cronbaugh and Eleanor Gordon in Xcel Bronze; Mia Frame, Paisley Jones, Aubrey Langton, Ava Blue, Sophia Bunch, Isabel Hawker, Faith Ehle, Kianna Davis, Isabelle Howsare and Kate Rogers in Xcel Silver; and Maya Shelangoski and Bailey Davis in Xcel Gold.
