Kids First’s Ava Czarnecki wins 4 golds at Chow’s Winter Classic

DES MOINES - Ava Czarnecki of Kids First Gymnastics won four Level 4 gold medals at the recent Winter Classic Invitational hosted by Chow's Gymnastics.
Czarnecki won the vault, beam, floor exercise and all around.
Other Kids First winners were Brianna Bell (vault, bars) in Level 4, Meghan Humphrey (vault, floor) in Level 3 and Reese McGriff (all around) in Xcel Bronze.
Top three placewinners were Olivia Brendes, Sarah Till, Addison Kingery, Delaney DeWild, Macy Maresh and Molly Serbousek in Xcel Bronze; Karsyn Roling and Kylie Johannes in Level 3; Reese Kendall, Evan Sanchez-Masi and Isabbel Poggenklass in Level 4; and Katherine Denner in Level 5.
ORTIZ, STOFFEL SHINE FOR CRAG
DES MOINES - Reyeta Ortiz from the Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics won four events and teammate Londyn Stoffel captured three titles at Chow's Winter Classic.
Both competing in Xcel Silver, Ortiz won the bars, beam, floor exercise and all around. Stoffel won the beam, floor and all around.
Other CRAG winners were Autumn Poston (floor) in Level 7; Sidney Davidson (bars) in Level 8; Liana Thye (bars), Emmalyse Bordignon (beam) and Jules Misekl (beam) in Xcel Silver; and Amara Isaac (bars) in Gold.
Placewinners were Natalie Freeman and Riley Smith in Level 8, Lauren Fruehling in Level 9, Trinitee Burris, Geniva Bann, Kalli Kirchner and Ella Gilchrist in Silver, Apolline Pedron and Isabelle Sherman in Gold, and Emersyn Sherman in Platinum.
CHRISTENSEN WINS 2 CHOW GOLDS
DES MOINES - Ava Christensen of Somersaults Gymnastics won gold in the Xcel Gold bars and all around at Chow's Winter Classic.
Other Somersaults winners were Addyson Sobaski (bars) and Alexis Sobaski (beam) in Xcel Bronze, Carly Cronbaugh (vault) in Silver, Bailey Hakert (vault) and Baylee Gabrielson (bars) in Gold, and Bailey Davis (bars), Paige Hacke (vault) and Grace Prull (bars) in Platinum.
Top three finishers were Kennedy Hurlbert in Bronze, Audra Petersonm Sarah Kwilose and Ella Beach in Silver and Maya Carrizales in Gold.
MOSERS' PHILLIPS 6TH AT TRAILS
BELVIDERE, Ill. - Carter Phillips of the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastics placed sixth in the second of three USTA Elite National Team Trials recently.
Phillips 16, is vying for a chance to be on the 2018 Elite USTA National Team. He nailed all three of his preliminary passes and qualified for finals.
