Jessica Heims finishes 7th in Paralympics 400

Jessica Heims ran to seventh place in the women's 400-meter race at the Paralympic Games on Monday at Rio de Janeiro.
Heims finished in 1:09.17, a personal best by about 2 seconds.
Marie-Amelie Le Fur of France was the gold-medal winner in 59.27 seconds, a Paralympics world record. American Grace Norman captured the bronze in 1:01.83.
Heims is a 17-year-old senior from Cedar Rapids Prairie. She finished eighth in the discus Sunday.
