Iowa high school boys’ basketball district, substate pairings: 1A, 2A

Seeding meetings have been had and district pairings have been released for boys' basketball in Class 1A and 2A.

Coaches determined pairings this year after the IHSAA assigned teams into districts.

Class 3A and 4A seeding meetings are Wednesday, with those parings expected next Friday.

Play tips off in Class 1A on Monday, Feb. 13 with first-round (play-in) games. Quarterfinals follow on Thursday, Feb. 16, then semifinals on Tuesday, Feb. 21 and district finals Thursday Feb. 23.

In Class 2A, district quarterfinals are Monday Feb. 13, with semifinals Thursday, Feb. 16 and finals Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Substate finals in both classes take place Saturday, Feb. 25, with winners advancing to the state tournament in Des Moines from March 6-11.
