Iowa City High tops North Scott: Girls Basketball round up

Ashley Joens scored a game-high 23 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead No. 9 Iowa City High over No. 8 (4A) North Scott, 53-44, in Iowa City.
Sara Blowers added 11 points for the Little Hawks, who improved to 10-4.
Karli Rucker paced No. 8 (4A) North Scott (12-2) with 18 points to go along with three assists.
BELLEVUE MARQUETTE 64, CVC 40 – Nicole Blum led all scorers with 19 points as the Mohawks won in Springville. Blake Banowetz had 15 points and Marissa Schroeder finished the night with 11 points for Bellevue Marquette (9-4, 6-1 Tri-Rivers West).
Molly Hembera led Cedar Valley Christian (7-5, 3-4) with 18 points and three steals while Maggie Cach scored 15 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and had three steals.
REGINA 50, DURANT 49 - Sixth-ranked (2A) Regina (12-1) held on for a close win last night against Durant (10-6) in Iowa City.
PLEASANT VALLEY 42, LINN-MAR 37 - Ellie Spelhaug scored a game-high 15 points, while Kira Arthofer added 12 and seven steals to lead Pleasant Valley (9-4) in Bettendorf.
Amanda Ollinger led the way for No. 5 Linn-Mar (10-4) with 11 points and eight rebounds. Kamryn Finley chipped in 10 points and eight boards for the Lions.
MOUNT PLEASANT 46, C.R. PRAIRIE 32 – Kelsi Phipps scored 19 points to lead all scorers as the Panthers (9-3 overall) won at home.
Olivia Usher led the Hawks (1-12, 1-8 MVC) with 14 points.
I.C. WEST 69, BETTENDORF 49 - Fourth-ranked Iowa City West (13-0) won a non-conference game in Bettendorf (5-7).
C.R. JEFFERSON 62, DAVENPORT CENTRAL 24 - The J-Hawks earned a non-conference win last night in Cedar Rapids. Jefferson improved to 6-9, Central fell to 1-13.
