IOWA CITY — City High junior Forrest Frazier announced Tuesday he will continue his swimming career at the University of California-Berkeley.
'I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of California, Berkeley,' he tweeted. ' I want to thank my coaches, my family, and teammates who have supported me so far. The Cal culture is like no other! Go Bears.'
Frazier won the 100-yard breaststroke at the state meet last year, breaking a state record with a 54.16-second win, and also captured the 100 butterfly.
Earlier this year, he was one of 48 boys from across the country picked to participate in USA Swimming's National Select Camp.
