Huge Weekend Ahead for Lady RoughRiders

This weekend the Cedar Rapids Lady RoughRiders travel to Springfield,Illinois to play in what turns out to be a 4 game playoff for the Western Division Title of the Midwest Heartland Girls Hockey League.

If they can go 3-1 they can clinch a share of the crown and a perfect 4-0 record gives them the outright championship over their arch rival Twin Bridges Lightning. Not only will that bring a championship but also by going 4-0 this weekend the Lady RoughRiders will do something few teams have ever done. They will accomplish a perfect regular season with an 18-0-3 record.

The girls aren't looking ahead though. They know they have to work hard on Saturday to make it to Sunday with a chance at that perfect record. They play Twin Bridges Saturday at 5:15 in what comes down to a winner take all for the Western Division.
