l Iowa colleges - Shantell Gish of Cedar Rapids (Prairie) and Tori Zempel of La Porte City (Union) earned Iowa Conference all-academic honors as members of the Central volleyball team and were joined on the academic team by Coe's Devon O'Connell of Maquoketa, Dubuque's Samantha Nielsen of Central City and Hannah Zieser of Edgewood (Edgewood-Colesburg), and Simpson's Samantha Miller of Waukon ... University of Iowa sophomore Tory Harman of Cedar Rapids (Kennedy) earned academic all-Big Ten honors in women's soccer ... Gish earned her second letter as a member of the Central volleyball team while Mollie Mason of Iowa City (West) earned her first and Zempel her third ... Alli O'Deen of Iowa City (West) earned all-Big Ten academic honors as a member of the Iowa volleyball team ... Tanner Rathje of Marion (Linn-Mar) earned his first varsity letter as a member of the Central men's cross country team ... Iowa junior Carolyn Newhouse of Marion (Linn-Mar) earned academic all-Big Ten honors in women's cross country ... Emily Saville of Cedar Rapids (Linn-Mar) earned her third varsity letter as a member of the Central women's soccer ... Dubuque's Will Hirsch of Iowa City (West) earned Iowa Conference all-academic honors in men's soccer, along with Luther's Blaise Schaeffer of Decorah and Benjamin Reasoner and Clayton Walker of Iowa City (West), and Wartburg's Conner Johnson of Marion (Linn-Mar), Travis Gudenkauf of Dyersville (Beckman) and Brady Anderson of Cedar Rapids (Prairie) ... Rochelle Beardsley of Peosta (Western Dubuque) earned Iowa Conference all-academic honors as a member of the Wartburg women's golf team ... Dubuque's Ashley Schlueter of Hiawatha (C.R. Kennedy) earned academic all-Iowa Conference honors in women's tennis ... Earning Iowa Conference academic honors in men's cross country were Coe's Austin Springsteen of Lisbon and Tanner McClenahan of Keota, Loras' Kyle Wagner of Elkader (Central), Luther's Paker Beard and Patrick Larson of Decorah and Isaac Jensen (West) and Scott Mittman (City High) of Iowa City, and Wartburg's Kyle Read of Marion (Linn-Mar), Justin Hochstetler of Kalona (Mid-Prairie) and Tyler Nullmeyer of Coralville (I.C. West).
