Here are the 2023 Iowa high school girls’ team tennis regional brackets
No. 1 Cedar Rapids Washington among Class 2A hosts

CEDAR RAPIDS — Top-ranked Cedar Rapids Washington has received a first-round bye for the Class 2A regional girls’ tennis tournament, which begins May 13.
The Warriors will wait until May 16 to open regional play. Washington will host the winner of a first-round match between Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Dubuque Senior.
Cedar Rapids Jefferson also received a bye and will play the Waterloo West/Mason City winner at Washington.
The other half of the bracket features No. 7 Iowa City West, which also received a bye. The Trojans will host the winner of the Burlington-Muscatine match on May 16.
In Region 3, No. 6 Iowa City Liberty received a bye and will host the winner of a first-round match between Western Dubuque and Dubuque Hempstead. Linn-Mar and Cedar Rapids Prairie meet in a first-round match at Linn-Mar with the winner to meet No. 8 Cedar Falls at Liberty.
Regional semifinal and final matches will be held on May 16 with a state quarterfinal match set for May 20 at a site to be determined.
In Class 1A, No. 2 Cedar Rapids Xavier is in Region 3 and opens play May 13 at home against South Tama. A win there would put the Saints into a match later that day against the Grinnell-Newton winner.
No. 10 Decorah opens at home with Hampton-Dumont-CAL, then would face the Osage-Charles City winner.
Regional final matches in 1A are set for May 16. State quarterfinal matches are May 20 at sites around the state.
State tournament semifinals and finals will be held May 30-31. Class 2A will be at Johnston High School with 1A set for Waukee Northwest High School.
