Drew Cook scored a game-high 29 points for Regina and Nick Phillips added 15, but the Bears prevailed, 71-67, over the Class 2A fourth-ranked Regals, using 21 points from Cooper Kabela and 20 from Mason Hays in a River Valley Conference matchup at West Branch.
LINN-MAR 71, IOWA CITY HIGH 42 - Jordan Bohannon led No. 7 Linn-Mar with 19 points and five 3-pointers and Beau Klostermann added 17 points. The Lions made 12 3-pointers and led 34-16 at halftime.
Nate Weiland led the Little Hawks with 15 points at City High.
IOWA CITY WEST 78, C.R. JEFFERSON 55 - David DiLeo scored a game-high 25 points, including five 3-pointers, as the top-ranked Trojans (17-0, 13-0 MVC Valley) beat the J-Hawks last night in Iowa City.
Devontae Lane scored 15 points and had four steals while Connor McCaffery had 12 points, six rebounds, and six steals and Wali Parks added 10 points.
Kane Kramer led Jefferson (1-16, 0-12 MVC Valley) with 14 points and Tyler Konigsmark had 11 points.
DUBUQUE SENIOR 50, C.R. PRAIRIE 40 - Luke McDonnell led Senior (9-8) with 16 points and made 10 of 11 free throws at Prairie.
Max Drahos led Prairie (8-10) with 14 points.
C.R. XAVIER 59, WATERLOO WEST 51 - After trailing by five after the three quarters, the Saints outscored West 26-13 in the fourth to earn the win at home.
Calvin Winker paced Xavier with 19 points and seven rebounds and Adam McDermott and Mitchell Burger added 16 and 12 points, respectively.
Williamsburg 43, Marion 36 - Jacob Manderscheid scored nine points and Craig Engle scored eight for Marion in a loss at Williamsburg. The fourth-ranked (3A) Raiders were led by Zach Schlabaugh with 13 points.
WATERLOO CHRISTIAN 45, CEDAR VALLEY CHRISTIAN 40
- Timothy Doering scored a game-high 24 points as Waterloo Christian (9-11) beat the Huskies in Waterloo. Luke Zwack added 10 points for the Regents.
Tom Scroggs led Cedar Valley Christian (1-18, 0-11 Tri-Rivers) with nine points and eight rebounds while Tyler Glenski, Mike Scroggs, and Michael Johnson each scored eight points.
Travis Geels finished with five points, four assists, and five steals.
