DeCapria leads Kids First charge in Illinois

TINLEY PARK, Ill. - Zoey DeCapria of Kids First Gymnastics won four titles at the United Gymnastics Academy meet.
DeCapria won the balance beam, floor exercise, vault and all around in Level 4.
Teammate Jessa Day won three events (vault. floor, bars) in Level 6 and Emma Schulze won the vault and floor in Level 4.
Other Kids First winners were Molly McMurrin (beam) and Ella Harmening in Level 4. Placewinners were Jane Petersen and Ashlyn Winders in Level 3 and Ava Koch in Level 5.
HELMKAMP, DANIELS AMONG KC WINNERS
CEDAR RAPIDS - Mitchell Helmkamp and Caitlynn Daniels were the 14-and-under winners at the annual Knights of Columbus 909 free throw contest recently at Regis Middle School.
The winners will advance to the District 31 tournament at the LaSalle.
Other winners were Abe Osterhaus and Carlee Netolicky in 11U, Quin Fandel and Madison Steger in 12U, and Max Kaiser and Natalie Brown in 13U.
TWISTERS' EATON CAPTURES 4 TITLE
INDIANAPOLIS - Lauren Eaton of Twisters Gymnastics led the team's charge at the Circle of Stars meet with three golds in Level 8.
Eaton won the bars, beam and all around at a competition that saw more than 4,000 gymnasts from across the country.
Other Twisters winners were Allyson Steffenmeier (bars) in Level 10 and Sam Triplett (floor exercise) in Level 8.
Other top three placewinners were Alexis Sands in Level 9, Elise Smith, Riley Kalous and Peyton Sand in Level 8.
5 FROM CRAG PLACE AT ‘STARS'
INDIANAPOLIS - Riley Smith of Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics placed in four events at the Circle of Stars meet last weekend, getting seconds in Level 7 vault, bars and all around.
Kyleigh Garcia, Maya Deuso and Carly Mark earned top-three finishes in Level 8, and Kareena McSweeny placed in Level 9.
