Cedar Rapids BMX has announced a series of monthly open houses at the track, located at 1600 Cedar Bend Lane SW, for current, past and potential BMX racers. These open houses are intended to expose area bike riders to the latest Olympic addition and the fastest growing youth sport in North America. No ABA or NBL membership is needed, any style of bike is welcome, and all ages are welcome. The cost for the open house is $5 and includes a hot dog and chips for riders and family members, two hours of riding time and a mock race so new riders can familiarize themselves with BMX racing. This is also a great way for regular riders to get an extra practice in before the next race.
June 10, 6:30 - 8:30
July 8, 6:30 - 8:30
August 5, 6:30 - 8:30
September 9, 6:30 - 8:30

In addition to the open houses, Cedar Rapids BMX is also hosting its annual Race For Life charity race on June 25 in addition to its regular season races.
