Iowa's all-time winningest boys' basketball coach achieved another milestone Tuesday night.
North-Linn co-coach Bob Hilmer picked up career win No. 800 in the Lynx's 62-51 victory over Alburnett in Troy Mills.
Ryan Miller scored a game-high 17 points, Brandon Stepanek added 14 points and Logan Novak had 13 for North-Linn (11-1), which stopped Alburnett's (8-4) six-game win streak.
And that's #800 for Coach Hilmer Sr.....So honored with the privilege to play for such a great coach! 800 wins...Wow.

Hilmer's 53-year head coaching career includes stops at Fredericksburg, Forest City, WACO and North-Linn, where he's accumulated an 800-343 record, including a 1976 state title with Forest City. It's his first year at North-Linn, co-coaching with his son, Mike, who notched his 300th career win last Friday.
'I don't really know,' Hilmer said earlier this season, when asked what being Iowa's winningest coach means to him. 'When you start coaching, you worry about getting a job, first of all. Then you worry about your first game. I'm always looking at the next ballgame. Since we've been halfway successful, it seems like we're in the conference race most of the time. So that kind of occupies the attention span ... Yeah, the record is nice, and it's very satisfying, but, man, it's going to be broken someday. There are people who are going to break it.'
