Arrington leads C.R. Washington to win over Waterloo East: Boys Basketball Roundup

Maurice Arrington scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Cedar Rapids Washington beat Waterloo East, 63-50, on the road in Waterloo.
Steven Kramer added 10 points and six assists for the Warriors (7-7, 5-4 MVC).
Leighton Nash led the way for Waterloo East (1-12, 0-9) with eight points and seven rebounds.
DUBUQUE WAHLERT 68, C.R. JEFFERSON 41
- Josh Carter scored 20 points to lead third-ranked (3A) Wahlert in a Mississippi Valley Conference matchup at Cedar Rapids.
Nolan Timp had 14 points for the Eagles (8-6, 5-4) and Cam Adams added 12.
Adam Van Oort scored a team-high 11 points for Jefferson (1-13, 0-9).
DUBUQUE Hempstead 63, C.R. Prairie 48
- Martell Wilson scored 20 points to lead all scorers as the eight-ranked Mustangs (12-1, 8-1 MVC Mississippi) won in Cedar Rapids. Robert Duax finished the night with 15 points for Hempstead.
Cal Clark, Max Drahos, and Coen Brown led Prairie (6-9, 3-7) with nine points each.
IOWA CITY REGINA 64, WILTON 48
- Drew Cook finished with a 24-point, 10-rebound double-double for Class 2A fifth-ranked Regina at Iowa City.
Nathan Stenger added 18 points for Regina (14-1, 11-1 River Valley), while Ethan Suchomel dished out 10 assists.
Jon Henessee led the way for Wilton (8-7, 8-7) with 15 points, Zach Randolph had 13 points and Caleb Kaufmann 11 for the Beavers.
MARION 53, VINTON-SHELLSBURG 38
- Jacob Manderscheid scored 16 points to lead all scorers as the Indians beat the Vikings in Vinton. Craig Engle finished the night with 10 points for Marion (11-3, 7-2 Wamac West).
Austin Bohnsack led Vinton-Shellsburg (2-13, 2-8) with 13 points.
C.R. Kennedy 78, DUBUQUE Senior 74
- The Cougars overcame a big night from Northern Iowa recruit Luke McDonnell, who had 26 points, 15 rebounds and 10 blocks for the Rams.
IOWA CITY HIGH 67, WATERLOO WEST 59
- Nate Welland and Nile Ringen each scored 13 points and Chuck Johnson scored 10 as the Little Hawks won in Waterloo. Welland, Johnson and Micah Martin grabbed five rebounds apiece for City High (7-7, 3-6 MVC).
CALAMUS-WHEATLAND 57, CVC 34
- Travis Geels led the Huskies with 14 points and Michael Johnson scored nine.
Geels and Kelvin Ridder each pulled down six rebounds for Cedar Valley Christian in Wheatland.
