Another Morgan, another Panther: Cailyn Morgan commits to UNI women's basketball

IOWA CITY — According to her Twitter account, Iowa City West junior Cailyn Morgan has orally committed to play women's basketball at the University of Northern Iowa.
'I'm incredibly blessed and humbled to announce that I was given the opportunity to further my education and basketball career at UNI!' Morgan tweeted Wednesday.
West Coach B.J. Mayer confirmed Morgan's commitment Thursday afternoon.

She will become the third member of the Morgan family to play basketball at UNI. Jeremy was on the men's team, and Mikaela will be a junior on the women's team this winter.
Cailyn averaged 6.1 points per game last season as West went 21-4 and reached the Class 5A state semifinals. She is the third player on the current West roster to commit to a Division-I program. Senior Rachael Saunders picked Creighton; senior Logan Cook selected Iowa.
