2016 Iowa state track and field qualifiers
The IHSAA and IGHSAU on Friday revealed the tentative qualifiers for this year's state track and field meet.
District (boys) and regional (girls) champions and runners-up automatically qualified in Class 4A, 3A and 2A, while the champions advanced in Class 1A. The next 12 best efforts statewide moved on in 4A and 1A, with eight at-large bids coming in 3A and 2A.
The state meet begins next Thursday and runs through Saturday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
