Video: Iowa players talk drops, blocks and tackles
Sep. 11, 2012 9:01 pm
With the Iowa offense's anemic effort on Saturday, which consisted of eight dropped passes in a 9-6 loss to Iowa State, it didn't take much imagination to figure out that was the line of questioning on Tuesday.
Wide receiver Don Shumpert and tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz talked about the impact of dropped passes and where the offense needs to go to be successful. Cornerback Micah Hyde recalled his first game as a Hawkeye, a 17-16 win against Northern Iowa, and the epic conclusion, which consisted of two blocked field-goal attempts for the win. Finally linebacker Anthony Hitchens recorded 19 tackles Saturday but didn't consider it more than an average personal performance because the team lost.
Here, condensed into one video, is what the four players had to say on Tuesday.
