Apr. 14, 2018 1:32 pm
For the second time this spring, Iowa baseball has had a Big Ten series finale canceled.
Sunday's game at Nebraska was called off Saturday due to weather. Forecasts for Lincoln, Neb., expect a wintry mix Saturday afternoon, snow Saturday night and another slight chance of snow Sunday with a high of only 35 degrees.
The teams played a doubleheader Friday because of Saturday's forecast. Iowa took the first game 7-1 and Nebraska won the nightcap 10-4.
Iowa also had its series finale against Indiana on March 25 canceled due to snow earlier this season after the teams split a doubleheader in Iowa City.
The Hawkeyes (21-11, 6-4) host Northern Illinois (11-22) at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday and return to Big Ten play Friday for a three-game series at Minnesota (22-10, 6-1).
