Purdue rallies to beat Iowa

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- After trailing by as many as 11 points in the first half, Purdue rallied to beat Iowa 75-68 tonight at Mackey Arena.
Purdue used an 18-5 run straddling the first and second halves to build a 10-point lead with 11:32 left in the game. Iowa then put together an 8-0 run to cut its deficit to two points with 10:23 left. But Iowa posted four turnovers in its next six possessions to fall behind again by 10. The Hawkeyes never got closer than six points the rest of the way.
Sophomore Zach McCabe scored a career-high 20 points and grabbed five rebounds for Iowa. Devyn Marble added 18.
In the first half, McCabe and Marble combined for 16 of Iowa's last 17 points of the first half. Iowa led 34-23 with 2:57 left in the half before the Boilermakers rallied with an 8-2 run.
Iowa (11-9, 3-4) shot 44.9 percent from the floor, while Purdue (14-5, 4-2) hit 41.1 percent. Purdue outrebounded Iowa 41-32.
