Apr. 25, 2010 8:12 am
Former Iowa offensive lineman Dace Richardson was still sifting through free-agent offers as of late Saturday, but likely will agree to terms today.
Here are some links on other former Iowa players:
The Green Bay Packers will start training ex-Iowa offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga as a left tackle behind Chad Clifton, according to this story. Bulaga said he already feels at home with the Packers.
Miami Dolphins expect former Iowa linebacker A.J. Edds to contribute right away. The Miami Herald writes Edds' coverage skills immediately helps the Dolphins' nickel pass defense.
Here's some audio from former Iowa tackle Kyle Calloway, who was picked in the seventh round by the Buffalo Bills.
Former Iowa linebacker Pat Angerer admitted he wasn't watching the draft when the phone call came from the Indianapolis Colts on Friday night.
Ex-Iowa cornerback Amari Spievey will help the Detroit Lions immediately on defense and special teams. Lions General Manager Martin Mayhew said Spievey is a "perfect" fit for the new-look Detroit defense.
The Kansas City Chiefs
found a "sweet spot" in the draft and traded up for former Iowa tight end Tony Moeaki. The Kansas City Star's Adam Teicher grades
Moeaki as a "B-plus" pick and already the Chiefs' best at tight end.
