NCAA finalizes extra games for 68-team basketball field

The NCAA announced today how it will format its 68-team basketball tournament beginning next season.
The final at-large teams qualifying for the the NCAA Tournament will compete against one another, as will the lowest seeded four teams to enter the tournament. The winners then will advance to the second round.
The final four at-large teams will occupy the same seed, such as No. 12. The winners of the lowest seeded games will earn a No. 16 seed and play a top seed in the second round.
