Michigan beats Iowa 60-46

Michigan beat Iowa 60-46 today at Crisler Arena.
DeShawn Sims and Manny Harris each scored 20 points for Michigan. Aaron Fuller led Iowa with 16 points, while Cully Payne and Eric May each had eight points.

Michigan scored the game's first 13 points and leads Iowa 29-17 at halftime at Crisler Arena today.
Iowa shot just 6 of 28 from the floor (21.4 percent) and missed their first nine shots. The Hawkeyes went their first 10 possessions without scoring, lasting 9 minutes, 26 seconds, and the Wolverines built a 22-5 lead.
Iowa never really found a groove, but Michigan got sloppy when up by 17 points. The Wolverines scored only two free throws during a 5:45 span over 10 possessions.
Iowa did score on its final two possessions, one on a drive by point guard Cully Payne and the last on a dunk from Eric May with 1 second left. Michigan Coach John Beilein was so angered by his team's defense he left the court at halftime without waiting for his players.
May and Payne each have four points to lead Iowa. The Hawkeyes had eight turnovers, including three by Payne. Forward Aaron Fuller was hit with three fouls and played only 10 minutes. He scored no points.
Michigan's DeShawn Sims scored 11 points, while Manny Harris had seven. The Wolverines had nine turnovers.
This was Iowa's second-worst half this season. Iowa scored only 15 points and shot just 22 percent from the floor in the first half at Illinois on Jan. 7.
