Lickliter already rumored for another job?
Mar. 18, 2010 9:59 am
The Toledo Blade reports former Iowa men's basketball coach Todd Lickliter has expressed interest in the vacant Toledo coaching job.
Toledo's Gene Cross recently resigned. Toledo is a member of the Mid-American Conference. Iowa fired Lickliter on Monday after a 10-22 season and 38-58 overall.
"It's a really good job," Lickliter told the paper. "I'm very familiar with the MAC, so it'd be a great opportunity and I'll leave it at that."
Before coming to Iowa, where his teams were 38-58 in three seasons, Lickliter was named the NABC Coach of the Year in 2007. Twice he led Butler to the Sweet 16.
