IOWA CITY - Iowa wide receiver Marvin McNutt has been named the Big Ten's co-offensive player of the week after catching three TD passes in a win over Indiana.
McNutt caught touchdown passes of 80, 24 and 29 yards in the Hawkeyes 45-24 victory over the Hoosiers on Saturday.
McNutt also broke the school's career touchdown receptions record. McNutt now has 24 TD grabs, three ahead of Tim Dwight and Danan Hughes.
McNutt shares the league honor with Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins, whose TD pass as time expired led the Spartans past previously-unbeaten Wisconsin.
Iowa (5-2, 2-1 Big Ten) hits the road to face Minnesota on Saturday.
Iowa's Marvin McNutt Jr. (7), crossing the goal line to set Iowa's all-time touchdown reception record during the first half of Saturday's win over Indiana at Kinnick Stadium, is the Big Ten offensive player of the week. (Brian Ray/The Gazette)
