Iowa's Marble, White have big challenge this month

Iowa basketball players Devyn Marble and Aaron White will have to play extremely well to make it on the U.S. roster in this year's World University Games.

They are two of 29 players invited to Team USA's training camp in Colorado Springs from June 24-July 1. It's a camp that will be filled with top-drawer talent.

The Big Ten is sending seven of the invitees. Besides the two Hawkeyes, the others are guard Yogi Ferrell and forward Will Sheehey of Indiana, power forward Adreian Payne of Michigan State, center A.J. Hammons of Purdue, and guard Andre Hollins of Minnesota.

Then there is the two-time All-America forward, Greg McDermott of Creighton.

And the Most Outstanding Player of the 2013 Final Four, Luke Hancock of Louisville.

The 12 players who make the cut will play in the Games for the U.S. from July 5-17. The experience would have to be beneficial.
