Iowa should have played Clemson, not Georgia Tech, in the Orange Bowl

Georgia Tech must vacate its 11 victories from the 2009 season because it used ineligible players. One was wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who caught a 70-yard touchdown pass in Tech's 39-34 ACC title-game win over Clemson.
Georgia Tech will vacate that title.
Here is the infractions report from the NCAA.
Thomas was a first-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos in 2010. He didn't make a catch against Iowa in Miami. The Yellow Jackets completed just two of nine passes for 12 yards.
For those keeping score, Iowa has played teams the last two years that have vacated wins if the Georgia Tech report holds true. Scandal-ridden Ohio State has vacated its 2010 triumphs, including a win over the Hawkeyes in Iowa City.
Every season, rest assured you're seeing at least one team with coaches and/or players who have broken some NCAA rules. You can't call me cynical for saying that. Well, you can, but you'd be exposing yourself as someone out of touch with reality.
