Iowa men post exhibition win against Northwest Missouri State

Iowa did what it needed to do to secure a 79-59 exhibition win against Northwest Missouri State on Sunday.
The Hawkeyes played multiple combinations, switched defenses, played different players in multiple spots and scored when applicable. Iowa's senior stars Matt Gatens and Bryce Cartwright led with 17 and 13 points, respectively. Nine players played at least 14 minutes.
After holding to a 12-point lead midway through the second half, Iowa scored on 10 straight possessions to take complete control.
Iowa opens the season Friday against Chicago State at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
