Iowa hires Sean Kenny as its new baseball pitching coach
Replaces Sean McGrath, whose contract was not renewed after 2024 season

CEDAR RAPIDS - Sean Kenny has been named the new pitching coach of the University of Iowa baseball team, it was announced Monday.
Kenny has 28 years of college coaching experience, most recently as pitching coach for the University of Houston.
The seven years prior to that, he was pitching coach at the University of Georgia. He also has had stints at Michigan, Maryland, Pepperdine, San Diego, Saint Mary’s (Calif.) and Laney Community College in California.
Kenny has had 45 of his pitchers taken over the years in the Major League Baseball Draft. He replaces Sean McGrath, whose contract was not renewed after the 2024 season.
