Iowa finishes seventh in final AP poll
The Iowa football team, fresh off a 24-14 triumph over Georgia Tech in the Jan. 5 Orange Bowl, finished seventh in the final AP college football poll released Thursday.
Alabama was No. 1 in the final poll. The Crimson Tide was followed by Texas, Florida, Boise State, Ohio State, TCU, Iowa, Cincinnati, Penn State and Virginia Tech.
The only other ranked Big Ten team was Wisconsin, which finished 16th.
