Iowa fans: Do you agree with Brian Ferentz?

Nov. 1, 2013 12:40 pm
Iowa assistant football coach Brian Ferentz's Twitter timeline is usually tamer than a housecat and as predictable as the leaves falling in late October.
Assistant coaches and strength coaches pass along motivational slogans, say that their teams are about to go to work, and talk about how excited they are for the opportunities that face them. In other words, they're playing to the crowd. Hey, we all do it in our way.
But Friday morning, Ferentz posted this:
What do you think Ferentz is getting at here? I admit to being a bit removed from the "stadium experience" in the press box for two reasons. One, the windows are closed and sound is muffled. Two, I'm not that paying much attention to music or videos. When you're covering a game, the game's the thing.
I like Ferentz's tweet, by the way, and I don't know what he's talking about. But he said something. The reason those guys don't say anything is partly because they often get clobbered whenever they do.
