Iowa earned seven votes in the final USA Today/Coaches poll, which was released today.
The Hawkeyes were one of eight Big Ten teams either receiving votes or ranked in the final poll. Michigan, which lost to Louisville last night for the national title, was ranked second. Ohio State finished sixth, Indiana seventh, Michigan State 13th and Wisconsin 22nd. Illinois (13) and Minnesota (1) received votes, as did Iowa State (16).
Louisville was crowned the national champion and unanimously was voted No. 1.
It was the first time since 2005-06 the Hawkeyes finished a season with votes in the top 25 poll.
