Hoops notes: ND game time set, Hawks in Paris

Iowa will face Notre Dame at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 3 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. ESPN2 will air the ACC-Big Ten Challenge game. It's a showcase window for the Hawkeyes, who recently have played early games in the Challenge on ESPNU.

The game is opposite the Michigan-Duke match-up, which airs at the same time on ESPN. According to ESPN rankings, Iowa enters the season No. 25, while Notre Dame is unranked. Here's the Challenge lineup:

Iowa's home game against Penn is set for Nov. 22 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Penn released its schedule today. The match-up features a sibling rivalry -- Penn senior Dau Jok and Iowa freshman Peter Jok are brothers -- and Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery graduated from Penn's renowned Wharton School of Business.

The Hawkeyes battered the London Lions twice in exhibitions, twice scoring more than 100 points. A London-based website caught up with the players after the game to chat. Click here for the videos.

Iowa's players and coaches are spending the day in Paris. They left London early this morning and have an off-day today. They play a French professional squad on Friday.
