Greenwood auction -- Item(s) No. 3

Take a good look at the "It's a Hawkeye Nation, Love it or Leave it." This is the last one in my captivity.
It's hanging in my exercise area, so there is four tack marks. The hockey stick? Don't worry, that stays with me. That's just the way it's set up down there. I don't have a ton of space.
Here's the story behind the "greatest poster that ever lived."
“We love America and we thought that'd be an excellent theme for our 2010 senior poster,” former fullback Brett Morse said. “There's an American flag in the background. I think a lot of Hawk fans should like it.”
Last one I have. It's coming off my wall for a good cause. I think there are a few of you out there who might enjoy it.
That's not enough you say? OK, I have a few more items to sweeten this pot.
OK, start at the top: That's a Rose Bowl cap (1). I was given that at Big Ten media days two or three years ago. I've never worn it. None of these have been worn. Under the Rose Bowl cap is an Insight Bowl hat (2). It has the Big Ten and Big 12 logos on the temples. Yes, it's from the Insight Bowl that Iowa won, if that helps. And then there's an Orange Bowl cap (3). It's from the first Orange Bowl. Sorry about that! You can say it's from the victory over Georgia Tech. And under the OBowl hat, is an Outback Bowl cap (4). This was from Iowa's Outback victory over South Carolina. I forgot I had it.
On the right, there's a rally towel from the 2006 night game against Ohio State at Kinnick Stadium. Not a great result, either, but they aren't making anymore of these (that's it, I have no more rally towels unless you like the Packers and those aren't going anywhere). And for the heck of it, I found an "It's great to be a Hawkeye" bumper sticker.
So, your bid gets you Hawkeye Nation Love it or Leave it, four hats from bowl games, rally towel and bumper sticker.
LATE EDIT: There's more!
I was given these this morning. Hey, why not?
Relive Iowa's historic 2002 season through the eyes of Gazette columnist Mike Hlas, me (mostly Hlas) and Gazette photographers in the "Return to Glory" book. It's a soft cover book that takes you through 2002 and other great moments in Iowa football as chronicled by former Gazette sports staffer.
Also, for the heck of it and because it's a really cool publication, I'm throwing in a copy of "If the Stars Align," the preview issue to the 2010 season. Yes, the stars didn't align the way we all thought, but cool pictures, slick presentation.
So, Hawkeye Nation Love it or Leave it, four hats from bowl games, rally towel, bumper sticker, "Return to Glory" and "If the Stars Align."
I might need Fed Ex. I'll keep this auction open until 2:30 p.m. Thursday, when No. 4 goes up.
We're doing well with the auction, up to $470 in real money and $940 with The Gazette match.
Thanks JR and Chad!
This is for Brett Greenwood, the former Iowa safety whose heart stopped beating on the field at his old high school last summer as he tried to make his way into the NFL. Brett remains in rehab. His family started the Brett Greenwood Foundation (follow this link) to raise funds for this lengthy journey.
Brett's recovery is ongoing. Let's do our best to help.
The Gazette has agreed to match what's raised here up to $1,000. So hey, let's help them write that check! We're just less than halfway there.
Don't worry about mailing and delivery, we'll figure something out.
Bid away and have fun. Any questions, my e-mail is marc.morehouse@sourcemedia.net. I'm also on Twitter (@marcmorehouse). You also can comment. I get back to most.
Thanks so much for your generosity!
Do people still like these? (Don't worry, the hockey stick doesn't come with it.)
Hats 'n stuff.
Sorry the photo is blurry. These are in mint condition.
