Good read on Iowa-Nebraska and the recruiting game

Get ready for a ton of these types of stories, but the Omaha World-Herald's Sam McKewon jumps in with a great breakdown of recent Iowa-Nebraska recruiting wars.
Here's a link to the story.
The gist: NU has a grand total of 15 scholarships to award for 2012, so the Huskers are leaving a few local products on the table, like DE Drew Ott, a Giltner, Neb., prep who committed to the Hawkeyes this week. Cambridge (Neb.) OL Mike Shoff might be in a similar position.
Here's an interesting excerpt:
Nebraska used to pluck the occasional gem from Iowa. Trev Alberts. Kyle Vanden Bosch. But in the last decade, NU has signed just one player from the state: tight end Ben Cotton. That's the same number Nebraska has signed from Massachusetts. And Germany. And Cotton was in Iowa only because father Barney was coaching at Iowa State.
As far as I know -- and I very well could be wrong -- the current Iowa-Nebraska coaching staffs have butted heads just once, when Hastings, Neb., OL Zach Sterup picked the Huskers last summer. Omaha linebacker Cole Fisher didn't receive an offer from NU before he signed with Iowa last February.
The schools are neighbors and now they're Big Ten neighbors. These stories aren't going away.
My guess is it won't go away with Ott until Feb. 3, 2012.
Nebraska defender Keyuo Craver (3) jumps on top of Iowa running back Rob Thein during the first half of both teams' season opener Saturday at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The Nebraska defense held Iowa to 57 rushing yards and eight first downs. (Gazette file)
