Ex-Hawkeye Ryan Bowen listed as 'project assistant'

Former Iowa star Ryan Bowen is listed as a project assistant to the men's basketball program by the University of Iowa directory.

Iowa officials have not confirmed Bowen's hiring, although it seems pretty likely now. Who knows what his duties are, but this pretty much confirms that he's filling a slot formerly occupied by video coordinator Justin Wieck.

Considering new Iowa Coach Fran McCaffery is making his first I-Club stop on Thursday night in Burlington, where Bowen currently resides (and a town dear to my heart as well), I would think that's where the announcement will take place.
