Bulaga's mother weighs in on son's football future
Jan. 4, 2010 2:51 pm
Bryan Bulaga's mother said today her son has discussed his future with the family.
But the starting junior tackle has not made a decision on his football future.
"All he's doing right now is concentrating on the game tomorrow, and we'll see what happens after that," said Kathi Bulaga, who attended the Hawkeye Huddle at the Miami Beach Convention Center on Monday. "He hasn't made up his mind about anything yet so we'll see."
Bulaga is weighing his options about entering the NFL draft this spring. He's considered the 27th-best prospect by Scouts, Inc.
Kathi Bulaga said Bryan will return home to the Chicago area after the game to make his final decision on staying at Iowa for one more season or leaving early.
Kathi Bulaga estimates her family travels to between eight and 10 games a year to watch her son play. It's a considerable time and financial commitment.
"I don't think you could put a price tag on your children living their dreams," she said. "We're very fortunate to be able to do it, and we wouldn't have traded it for anything."
