All but two luxury suites at Kinnick Stadium sold
Jul. 25, 2009 1:22 pm
The University of Iowa has leased all but two of its Kinnick Stadium luxury suites for the upcoming football season.
Twelve suites - around 25 percent of the 46 total suites (two are university suites) - were up for renewal following the 2008 season. The two available 12-seat suites cost around $45,000, which includes 12 tickets.
“We've had some interest, and we're going through the list of people who have indicated an interest, but we'll probably be taking any calls on that here soon, if anyone's interested,” said Mark Jennings, Iowa's associate athletics director for donor and patron services.
Jennings said there's no deadline on leasing the suites.
“If we don't get it sold, we'll probably sell it on a game-by-game basis,” he said. “Because we've always got requests for suites for individual games.”
Jennings also said the department has a waiting list exceeding 100 people for outdoor club seats.
“That's almost unheard of around the country with the economy the way it is,” he said. “God bless (Iowa Coach) Kirk Ferentz and that football program.”
