IOWA CITY — Iowa wrestling will host seven duals in 2018-19, including its annual intrastate meeting with rival Iowa State.
The Hawkeyes released their schedule Friday. Competition begins Nov. 9 with duals against Cal-State Bakersfield and host Kent State. Iowa will travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Big Ten Championships on March 9-10 before the NCAA Championships in Pittsburgh, Pa., March 21-23.
The Hawkeyes will host Princeton on Saturday, Nov. 17 in their home opener at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Iowa will host duals on four straight Saturdays, including the Big Ten opener against Purdue on Nov. 24.
Iowa State comes to CHA on Dec. 1. Iowa won all nine contested matches and beat the Cyclones, 35-6, last season at Hilton Coliseum in Ames.
Lehigh (Dec. 8), Rutgers (Jan. 18), Maryland (Feb. 8) and Indiana (Feb. 15) round out the home slate.
Iowa hits the road for conference duals against Minnesota (Jan. 13), Illinois (Jan. 25), Northwestern (Jan. 27), Nebraska (Feb. 3) and Wisconsin (Feb. 17).
The Hawkeyes' regular-season finale will be against rival and national power Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Okla., on Feb. 25.
Iowa will defend its team title at the Ken Kraft Midlands Champions hosted by Northwestern at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
