Iowa football’s Big Ten opponents announced for 2024-28 seasons
Rivalries against Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska to be preserved through 2028

IOWA CITY — Iowa football’s annual games for the Heartland Trophy, Floyd of Rosedale and Heroes Trophy will remain annual through 2028.
The Big Ten Conference released its updated football schedules for the 2024-28 seasons Thursday morning after announcing the additions of Washington and Oregon to the conference earlier this year.
The new scheduling model, dubbed “Flex Protect XVIII,” protects varying numbers of rivalries for each team. Iowa is the only team with three protected rivalries.
Iowa will play one road game per year at one of the Big Ten’s four West Coast schools.
Exact dates for the games have not yet been released.
