Iowa football to play Northwestern at Wrigley Field in 2023
Northwestern season ticket holders to have ‘priority access’ to tickets
IOWA CITY — Iowa’s Nov. 4 football game against Northwestern will be played at Wrigley Field, the schools announced Tuesday morning.
This is not the first time Northwestern has played at Wrigley Field -- home of the Chicago Cubs. The Wildcats played Purdue in 2021 and Illinois in 2010 at the historic venue.
Northwestern season ticket holders will have “priority access” to tickets at Wrigley, per a Northwestern release.
It might be a while before Iowa plays at Northwestern’s Ryan Field again. Northwestern has proposed constructing a “new Ryan Field” with improved amenities and a smaller seating configuration.
Iowa has a 53-28-3 advantage in the all-time series against the Wildcats.
