IOWA CITY — Six down, one to go.
Iowa football has sold out its 2024 home games against Illinois State, Iowa State, Troy, Northwestern, Wisconsin and Nebraska, the athletic department said Thursday in a news release.
The Iowa State game reached sellout status on Wednesday while the other five were sold out on Thursday — the first day of single-game ticket sales for the general public. Single-game tickets have been available for donors and season-ticket holders since Monday.
Fewer than 650 tickets remain for Iowa’s Oct. 12 game against Washington — the only game with single-game tickets still available. It will be the Huskies’ first trip to Kinnick Stadium since 1964.
The early wave of sellouts comes with about six weeks to go until Iowa begins its 2024 season on Aug. 31. The high demand is nothing new; the Hawkeyes sold out five of seven home games within the first week of single-game ticket sales last year.
