IOWA CITY — Iowa football is a ranked team again.
The Hawkeyes are No. 24 in the latest Associated Press Poll after winning three straight games.
The latest win — a 15-6 result against border-state rival Wisconsin — improved Iowa’s record to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Iowa was the preseason No. 25 team in the country and fell out of the poll after its 24-14 win over Utah State. It reentered the poll at No. 25 and then up to No. 24 after wins over Iowa State and Western Michigan, but dropped out after the 31-0 loss to No. 7 Penn State.
Three other Big Ten teams are ranked in the poll — No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Ohio State and No. 7 Penn State. None of Iowa’s remaining opponents are either ranked or receiving any votes in the poll.
