IOWA CITY — Iowa has picked up a commitment from former Boston College long snapper Bryant Worrell via the transfer portal, Worrell announced via his Instagram account Sunday evening.
Worrell joins the Hawkeyes after a couple different stops in his collegiate career — two years at Old Dominion, two years at Division II-level Emory & Hunt College and one year at Boston College. He appeared in all 13 games for the Eagles in 2024.
Worrell fills a void left by Luke Elkin, who was Iowa’s first-team long snapper in all four seasons on campus. The only long snapper on Iowa’s spring 2025 roster is Ike Speltz — a Van Meter native with four seasons of eligibility remaining.
Worrell has one season of eligibility remaining. He is the second player to commit to Iowa in this spring transfer portal window, joining former Ferris State offensive lineman Bryce George.
